_{Hello all, tis been a while since i've a journal so I thought I'd do one.

Stuff has been rather busy for me lately. I'm currently working as a freelance photographer for the website VoltageMedia.com.au shooting gigs here, there and everywhere. It's been going heaps well, done some big bands through them and a few through some other people which has been great. I've shot Skid Row, Static-X, Hanzel und Gretyl, Arch Enemy, as well as a few Australian bands such as Recoil, Ink, Our Last Enemy and Mz Ann Thropic and also had the pleasure of being a press photographer for the first annual Australian Metal Awards which consisted of 8 different bands playing live, so yes I've been very busy!!

I will upload the best shots onto dA once I can be arsed and give links to the rest of the photos on my myspace account.}

_{Tonight... I went to my first ever body suspension! It.. Was.. Amazing!!! It's always been something I've been interested in and I finally got the chance to go along to one, and naturally I took my camera along so I will probably out some of the best shots up here on dA.. argh!! awesome blood-ness, needles and stretched skin Whats not to love! oh and I also got a super cute pendant while I was there, its 2 suspension needles crossed over to make a heart shape. I loves it.}

_{Wow I cant believe I just received my second DD! And on a band shot of all things!! Concert photography is something that usually just gets overlooked because every Tom, Dick and Harry can do it, but to be recognised and to be told that something you've taken is particularly special to someone is a real honour.

_{First off.. I'm sorry for FLOODING your message centers with uploads.. I'm taking advantage of uploading files through FTP. I must say it is awesome and takes so much less time!

_{Back to uni again... for the final 5 months... shite!!! Now this is where we have to SHINE! Major Project 2 is upon me which means shooting our topic of choice! Mine is IR or Infrared Photography. I ordered my IR filter last night and hopefully I will get it soon so I can start testing it out I might upload a few random things once I get the filter but I wont be uploading anything with is for my final work.. You will ALL have to come to my exhibition at the end of the year if you wanna see it

Also have to do an internship for something like 200 hours.. now I gotta find somewhere that will take me on.. argh.. annoying.. and the teacher we've got is completely useless in letting us know what we've gotta do.. might have to go and TRY talking to her to make some sense of stuffs..

_{Yes well, I've been a little absent on here for a while, mainly because I've had nothing to upload! Dont worry, I've been lurking around still checking up on whats been going on in the land of dA.

I was lucky enough to make it to the farewell devmeet where I got to meet and converse with the awesome $Heidi and +spyed and I also met ALOT of awesome other people. It was a great arvo indeed, screwing around in Manly XD.

Some other things have happened but I'm too lazy to write it all}

_{Hmm uni... yes well.. Isnt this a great topic! I've uploaded a few things from what I did last term but I'm still waiting on my negs and prints from my film class so I can scan them to upload.

As I feared, Major Project is upon me.. which means lots and lots and lots of research on what we'd like to do. I'm thinking of doing IR photography, or Infra Red if you will. I've got work to order me a filter for my camera, and once I get it It's time to start playing. I'm actually looking forward to doing that.. it'd be the first thing I've looked forward to shooting this year...

_{As of monday I'm going to be back at uni entering my final year, the problem, I feel terribly uninspired. _{Hey there! Just wanted to wish everyone a very late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a great holidays with their family and friends I had a good Christmas, spent 3 consecutive days with different parts of my family and even spent part of Christmas day with Mike's family up in Avalon. New Years I caught up with s couple of friends and went to a metal club in the city where i ran into some old friends which was awesome and saw my ex which was embarrassing lol. Apart from all of that I was working lots before Christmas and now working a little less but the days are busier for me cause everyone's printing their holiday photos.

Hmm whats this year going to entail for me? My last year of Uni!! Im pretty sure its going to be hectic.. Major Project.. that means writing a proposal, submitting it for approval, then shooting said subject, doing work placement then organising an exhibition of said Major Project photos for final submission... GAH!!! I'm starting to think of ideas for my major project, hoping i can come up with something good. We'll see}

_{Okay, now I need some of you web savvy peoples help! kierrathorn.com has expired but I think its still locked with Dreamhost so I cant register it with another host. Will I have to talk to the guy that registered it to release it from Dreamhost before I can use it again? I'd really like to get my website going this year as I'd like to have something established once I leave uni, and I want to be able to get some business cards this year.. SO! Any help is appreciated

_{Guess what! I've entered a competition! It's being run through General Pants and its a project called The Bubble.

Here’s how the bubble works

You bright young things (photographers, writers, artists in all mediums, filmmakers, musicians, designers and anyone else with a great visual or communicative skill) are encouraged to submit your work online.

And every two months, the creators of the most interesting work, as determined by the voting public, are commissioned to produce material to be displayed in stores, supported to stage their own exhibitions, gigs or readings, as well as being featured in the pages of the bubble's media partners, Russh and Monster Children.
Our grand plan?

We discover enough talent out there to form a collective whom we can employ as consultants. And, to kick ’em further along the road toward gainful employment, we fund and promote the group so they’re nailing jobs outside of General Pants Co.

Ambitious? Maybe.

At the very least, we will produce a volume of the bubble's best work, with proceeds of its sale going back to the artisans involved. At its core, the bubble reflects General Pants Co.’s desire to share the best of young Australian talent with the world.

_{Well... I've finally got some images that I can submit!! It's been so long since my last ones, it feels odd to be uploading lol. There will be LOTS more where these 4 came from. I still haven't finished editing the ones for the models and MUA's so I've got a feeling I'm going to be doing alot more editing

_{Ok, to anyone that is looking to make a profit off their art, selling through the dA prints system will get you no where. You get a tiny, tiny amount from each print and you only actually get the money if you sell enough to justify dA transferring it, so here's what I'll do

I'm looking to sell my prints to anyone that would like them

I'll put out a poll first to see if this idea is going to be beneficial to me or not so, if your interested place your vote!}

_{I know I keep talking about this but I'm actually planning to go out over the next week and do some street photography whist Mike is away gliding with his father. I was maybe even thinking of finding some models that might be interested in doing a shoot around the Rocks in Sydney. We shall see on the latter}

_{I had a Senryu written about me by ~AyalasShadow...

A Senryu is exactly like a Haiku except it talks about humanity rather than appreciating nature.

"You're screwed royally
There's a bat near the wall
You know where he lives"

It made me giggle once I understood it so thanks.}

_{Ok, well I've gotten no further with getting my domain name. The guy refuses to give it to me even when I offer money, so! Either there has to be other ways of getting it back or I get a different domain name (ass). He's doing this out of spite and just to be an overall asshole.

Once again, idea's and help are appreciated}

_{Genral Updates...

Sin City shoot was a success, rented props.. $160 worth and got no money back off the place upon return, you pay an outright fee for their props.. ass.

Model was super nice, even her makeup artist got involved and played a role in some of the photos Once Mike gets off his lazy ass and converts the files we can start playing

Been looking after Mike for most of this week, he's been very sick, finally getting better so now he can start looking after himself His birthday is next monday, lord knows when his party is but it's laser tag

More Uni shots to come and hopefully I'll get out into the city with my film camera and use the 3 rolls of film that ive got. I need to use them.

_{Well! After an altercation with the guy that was hosting my website it no longer exists! So this means that I'll need someone to give me a hand to find a server and get it up and running once more! I don't want something massively fancy, just something simple and nice and easy to update with my pictures and to have a small contact page.

If anyone has these kind of awesome skills and you like to teach me I'll love you. I'd love to learn web design but I need a boot in the right direction}

_{Wellz, not to much has been happening, been shooting stuff for uni and not much else im afraid, i need to get out on the street more but I dont get anything good when I do go out.. Need to find a new topic me thinks for a new series or get myself a new tripod and a ND filter and do some long exposures during the day.

I;ve got this awesome street shot in my head that I want to capture but it relies on the weather and me being in the right place at the right time.. sorta makes it not really street but it should be fun (and frustrating) to try and capture.
